slideshows are so much easier arent they? anyway, we had a LONG, but relatively freak out/tantrum free day yesterday.
we decided to get the kids together and go bowling then home for naps then the zoo. a bit ambitious? maybe, but somehow it worked out!
sarah brought dominic and brody and jen brought dallin and alexa to orchard bowl up the road and the kids had a great time. we got there just after opening which helped when it really came down to it. there was only one other lane in use. the other people there were older men,regulars im sure, who were getting a kick out of watching the kids run around, dance and try to bowl. with the bumpers up they did pretty well too, ro bowled a 124! (pretty sure ive yet to do that myself) theres an arcade there too. they actually have a game where you punch ducks. yup, i said punch ducks. ro LOVED it, go figure.
later on we all met up at the zoo. jen picked up her older daughter from school for this little get together. riley is 8 and guess who asked to hold her hand so he wouldnt get lost? you got it, ro. get lost, im so sure ro.....
we ran around and looked at most of the animals. i tried getting ro to sit by the big fake elephant for a picture and he started screaming bloody murder.wow,what a champ. anyway, the kids all seemed to get along and it was a pretty warm day considering. then we went up to the playground and turned the kids loose. a train ride later and it was time to go home. murph crashed but can you believe ro stayed up the entire ride home?? not sure we'll try and cram that much in again but it was fun none the less!
